Palliatives

On June 14 began the 1st Virtual Course "Management of Palliative Care Programs" and is being developed from the space created for Panama in the Virtual Campus of Public Health (VCPH) Classroom to countries of the Region.

This course is the first developed in Panama on VCPH, has an enrollment of 48 students from different provinces of the country and has a duration of 165 hours over 115 hours of networking and 50 face work hours.

The professionals who take the course should, at graduation, have the skills and abilities to manage effectively the palliative care programs with an interdisciplinary approach, with emphasis on community and primary care. This may serve to regions and health facilities involved have trained managers to carry forward the process of implementation of palliative care programs at the clinic, home and hospital focused on the person requiring care and his family harmonizing the needs of this core patient-family existing resources at the local level.
