Description:

Meeting 2 - Cycle of dialogues - Why call this cycle of dialogues? The 2020 pandemic has called into question the ways in which people work, teach, learn, meet and gather, around the world. Since March 2020 we have all witnessed an emergence of virtuality in educational processes. Along with the emergence of COVID-19 and social isolation, there has been an "outbreak" of proposals and various online activities, aimed at offering alternatives to the traditional training of new professionals, to sustain the training and permanent education of the staff of health, the acquisition of resources to face the emergency and the training of teachers to accompany all these processes. The vertiginous situation in which these developments occurred, with different starting points, pedagogical options and multiple questions, configures an educational capital for the field of public health on which to support new strategies. We are clearly facing a change in educational paradigms.

During these months, the PAHO Virtual Campus for Public Health (VCPH / PAHO) has been actively accompanying at the regional, subregional and country levels, in the strategic use of its platform and its educational developments. The use of existing resources and the use and dissemination of new materials and content could be rapidly promoted.
