Join us for the launch of the Series The Decade of Healthy Aging in the Americas: situation and challenges, which allows knowing in a dynamic way what is the situation, challenges, and opportunities in the Region of the Americas regarding aging and older persons.

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), in collaboration with various United Nations agencies and the Inter-American System, worked on this first series of regional reports that will be constantly updated, highlighting the importance of joint action by different actors to implement the Decade and favor healthy aging through evidence-based information.
The series of reports, divided into four parts, covers different dimensions of population aging, the demographic situation, and the state of health in the Region. In addition, it addresses each of the areas of action of the Decade; and, finally, special articles related to emerging and little-discussed issues regarding the older person population.
Accurate and reliable information is necessary to advance strategies that consolidate the objectives of the Decade for Healthy Aging (2021-2030), and to build actions and policies to promote healthy aging of all populations.
During the launch event, a series' webpage was also presented, with the first installment of reports, related resources, and a space for all interested stakeholders, including older people, to make contributions and suggestions.
