The Congress will aim towards fostering the promotion of “Healthy People – Healthy Environment” and will bring together thousands of participants from a wide range of public health disciplines from many countries around the world.

Public health is on the move globally. However, as we appreciate the substantial achievements in improving the health status of the people during the past decade, we still have many miles to cover. We are still left with the unfinished agenda of existing health concerns, and new complex challenges that demand innovative solutions for ensuring sustainable development in an inclusive manner.

The IPHA will also be holding its 59th Annual Conference at the same time. In keeping with the tradition, youth participation will be a key element of the Kolkata Congress.
