Virtual training experts discussed the innovations and trends of e-learning 2.0, a workshop of 576 participants responsible for training and human resources Latin American and Spanish companies and professionals involved in education projects throughout Latin America online. 
 
The workshop "e-Learning 2.0 - News and Trends" was held in Buenos Aires business e-ABC, Net-Learning and Adobe Connect-OFIR, on May 12, 2011. Its objective was to analyze the latest trends in e-learning technology and its integration with management of online training in various types of organizations. 
 
During his presentation, Carlos Biscay, director of e-ABC, found that the e-learning 2.0 involves much more than new technologies that support it, basically involves a change in the way of thinking and acting, in educational communication in all its dimensions. 
 
"It is, ultimately, incorporation of the capabilities and challenges of Web 2.0 and the power networks to e-learning. The most important point that arises is the relationship established between concepts and ideas and concrete tools that enable and facilitate that these ideas can be realized through new formats. Additionally, it offers new dimensions and depth to the essential characteristics of virtual training, as immediacy, adaptation to local conditions and user needs, accessibility, and scalability, "said the executive. 
 
"There are four main trends in e-learning 2.0: the penetration of mobile learning in organizations, the consolidation of blended-learning, integration of processes virtual training video conferencing systems, and developments are experiencing the rapid-learning with a greater use of authoring tools, "said the director of e-ABC. 
 
One of the topics discussed at the workshop was the development of mobile learning in organizations. During his presentation, the director of e-learning ABC said Mobile is starting to penetrate the corporate environment, becoming a solution for time-outs take place in travel and waiting, and a efficient channel for the distribution of knowledge in a timely manner.
 
"The mobile culture is a growing trend within the field of training, which favors interpersonal communication, which is highlighting the turn to personal contact. Today the key is to follow the person, not the job. The ability to access where you touch to be the individual to whom I owe the means to ensure develop a training instance (either waiting for the doctor in an office or a means of transport), is crucial. And in some industries such as pharmaceuticals or aeronautics, is vital, "said Biscay. 
 
During the workshop recommended reference Moodle LMS, in that it is the environment that allows the implementation of learning processes supported by 2.0 connectivism theory.
 
In this regard, the director of e-ABC, said that Moodle is a reference by the LMS philosophy that develops: social constructivism, the emphasis and interest in the way students learn.
